Adjustable Bed Questions
Do I need a new mattress for an adjustable base?
Most memory foam, latex and hybrid mattresses, and innerspring mattresses designed for adjustable bases, work well. Traditional stiff innersprings and box springs do not bend. Our experts will tell you whether your current mattress will work.
Can an adjustable base fit in my existing bed frame?
Many can. Zero-clearance bases like the Malouf E255, Baselogic Platinum and Beautyrest Black® Luxury Base 2.0 can sit inside an existing frame, on a platform or on the floor.
What is a split king adjustable bed?
A split king is two Twin XL bases and mattresses side by side, so each person can raise their head and feet independently. A split-head base, like the Rize Clarity II, splits only the top half of the bed.
Can an adjustable base help with snoring?
Raising your head a few degrees can help reduce snoring. Many of our bases have a one-touch Anti-Snore preset, and the TEMPUR-Ergo® bases can respond to snoring by raising your head.
Can I keep my headboard with an adjustable base?
Often, yes. Some bases offer headboard brackets, like the optional brackets for the Rize Clarity II. Bring your headboard measurements and our experts will help.
